Welcome to Achachleat, self-catering cottage in Elgol on the Isle of Skye (The "Winged Isle"). Nestling on a ridge above the sea the property has stunning panoramas of the Black Cuillin mountains, the small Isles of Soay and Canna and beyond to open Atlantic, and a broad horizon of over 40 miles of mainland mountains. From sunrise to sunset the views are quite outstanding.

This Elgol cottage has up to 4 bedrooms and can provide very flexible accommodation from small parties up to as many as 12 people.

This is an ideal location for hill walkers, climbers, bird watchers, and those wishing to get away from it all with one of the most spectacular backdrops in Britain.

The house is very spacious, and can accommodate up to 12 people. Achachleat was recently refurbished and has a full central heating system installed, and the house is fully double glazed. It also has an open fire in the main downstairs living room. So even in the coldest and wildest conditions the Atlantic can throw at us in the proximity of the Cuillin mountains, the house is always warm and cosy.

All beds have incredibly comfortable Tempur 'memory' Mattresses. When we equipped the house we felt that this would be especially appreciated by the more active guests after a long day walking or climbing in the mountains.
