Loch Lomond provides a stunning location in the heart of the Loch Lomond and Trossachs National Park. It is the ideal holiday location, and offers a wide range of activities on the loch itself, as well as the stunning surrounding hills and mountains.
The whole area is heaven for all outdoor sports fanatics. You can climb the hills and mountains, such as Ben A’an , Conic Hill, Ben Venue and Ben Ledi to the larger and more challenging Monroes – Ben Lomond, Ben Vorlich, Ben More and Stob Binian., sail on the Loch itself or engage in the more active watersports such as jetskiing and windsurfing. You can also fish in the rivers around and the Loch itself, and cycle on the many paths routes that wind across the area.
There are many great spots on Loch Lomond, with one of the quieter ones being on
the East side at Milarrochy Bay. There are also nice walks along the edge of the
Loch (actually part of the West Highland Way) and picnic spots. The car park is situated
about 2 miles from Balmaha where there is an information centre and toilets.
There
is also a nice walk around the Loch at Balmaha itself and another popular spot is
Luss on the other side of the Loch.
